Evangelism is the proclamation of the Gospel to unbelievers. Evangelism is speaking about the good news, the message of Jesus to those who do not believe or have never heard in a culturally relative way. Evangelism involves opening one’s mouth and speaking. Romans 10:17, “Faith comes through hearing and hearing through the word of Christ.” By definition, evangelism involves more than being a decent and kind person; it is more than doing good acts of service for people, and it is more than inviting someone to church. Not all are gifted at evangelism; however, all believers are called to participate in evangelism.
